What is one piece of advice for innovating your response around denials?
Valarie Johnston: “When it comes to denials, networking with your peers is vital. You can learn what others are doing, what’s working, what’s not, and lessons learned. Sometimes, a specific detail with a certain payer is valuable and can be quickly implemented by your team. Organizations like HFMA, AHIMA, and the American Academy of Professional Coders are great for learning tactics to fight denials.”
